It is important to backup the data on your computer so When
the hard drive inside fails you wont lose all of your Pictures and music and
documents.
To backup is to make a second copy of your data somewhere
other than on the hard drive in your pc. This could be a USB hard drive if you
only have 1 pc to backup or ideally a
network attached hard drive if there is more than 1 device to backup.
There is also Internet based backup solutions which means your data gets
uploaded through the internet to the providers storage in a data centre
somewhere in the world. This has the advantage that your backup data is not in
the same building as your original data.
Local storage has the advantage that its quick to backup and
cheap.

We click on the Button on the left of the menu thats called Organize and then we click on Select All on the drop down menu.
Doing this will make all the folders get a blue background we can click on Organize again and then click on Properties at the bottom of the drop down. A box will open and show how much data is in these folders. My machine has 122MB of data. Bullguard provide 5GB (5000MB) of storage space with your Internet Security Suite subscription so we can use that.
Once we have figured out that we have less data than the space available in our online storage we can begin to configure Bullguard Backup feature.
IF you have a USB hard drive you can follow these instructions to backup to that.
Click on the Bullguard icon on the desktop and the program will open and you can select backup on the right
A new profile window will open. This is where you tell the program what files to backup and where and when to put them there. So click the next button at the bottom of the New Profile window
The next box asks what you want to backup i click on the Select all button so i will be saving all the folders that have my data in
Once select is done you click the necxt button at the bottom of the window and choose where to store your Backup. You click the online drive and then click the next button again.
You now select when to do the backup i allways say while my computer is idle, you could choose to schedule the backup by chooseing the 4th button and then choosing the day and time to start and it will backup each day or week or month as selected from that point on. When done here click the next button at the bottom.
Read the More Info boxes on these features and select what you want. I recommend NOT selecting Synchronization. Click the Run button and your backup will be set to start when you set it to.
